CompUSA, a subsidiary of Systemax, has selected PayPal to handle its e-commerce transactions. Systemax now accepts PayPal in North America at TigerDirect.com, TigerDirect.ca and now at CompUSA.
"PayPal has been a strategic partner to our eCommerce operations," Gilbert Fiorentino, president of Systemax's technology products segment, in a statement. "Consistently delivering new customers to our websites is a key benefit of PayPal. The addition of PayPal to the CompUSA website is a logical extension to our shopping cart."
CompUSA sells computers, electronics and accessories for consumer, business, government and educational customers through CompUSA.com, CompUSABusiness.com and CompUSAGovEd.com Web sites.
“We are excited to add CompUSA to the growing list of leading online retailers accepting PayPal,” said Dana Stalder, general manager of merchant services and marketing at PayPal, in a statement. “With CompUSA, PayPal customers have even more choice when shopping for great deals on computers, electronics and more.”
PayPal allows anyone to make and receive payments without sharing financial information and gives consumers the flexibility to pay in any way they prefer, including through credit cards, bank accounts or account balances. To woo customers and to help celebrate the launch of PayPal on the Web site, CompUSA is running a promotion that gives $20 cash-back to shoppers who use PayPal as their payment method on purchases exceeding $200.
