TidalTV, Inc., a provider of Broadband television service, has just signed a major content partnership with NBC News and TV Guide Network to feature their programs on the TidalTV website.
NBC News is globally recognized as a source of global news and information. Started initially on radio, the company has been running for 75 years and today stands at the forefront of offering broadcast and cable television, Internet, radio and cell phones.
TV Guide Network, formerly known as the TV Guide Channel, Prevue Channel and Prevue Guide, is a cable network produced by Gemstar-TV Guide International in the United States.
On April 17, TidalTV signed a major agreement with National Geographic Ventures and National Geographic Channel (NGC) to showcase NGC programming on the TidalTV platform. NGC content will be available upon the beta launch of TidalTV.
The current agreement further expands the company’s vision to offer consumers free and instant access to professionally-produced online video programming through a streaming, browser-based platform.
"Now more than ever, NBC News is so much more than a television news operation - we are a news and information content provider," said NBC News President Steve Capus.
"With partnerships like this one, we are reaching more people in more ways. It's an incredibly exciting time in our business, and we are thrilled to be working with TidalTV."
TidalTV offers rich television experience through its unique combination of programmed and on-demand video with DVR-style controls. The company aims to increase its library of content and channels to further provide its audience and partners with a centralized platform for distributing, viewing and monetizing a diverse selection of high-quality video programming.
"Our mission is to provide consumers with a unique viewing experience rich with brand-name video programming," said Mollie Spilman, chief executive officer of TidalTV.
Spilman also mentioned that the addition of these industry-leading media companies is essential to delivering on this mission - as they represent some of the most-watched, most-trusted, brands in the business.
