In order to support customer growth and challenge the “per user business model,” Sosius, a provider of unified social networking and collaboration, announced the launch of its business model. The company said this new model has the potential to disrupt the existing Web collaboration market.
Sosius introduced its free, enterprise-grade solution in 2007. As its customer base grows and as the company finds more demand for its solutions, it is now offering upgrade options for premium features and services available at highly affordable rates. Sosius’ customized solutions support customer growth, unlike per user pricing structures that restrict the number of users.
While the company continues to offer a fully-functional, enterprise-grade version to individuals for free, the three new packages are designed for power users, small-to–mid sized enterprises and large organizations. They provide features that make the price tag (

The Power ($15/mo) package caters to the needs of power users who needs more storage and bandwidth. The Team ($50/mo) package is for groups of 20 or more who require enhanced storage and support. The Company ($100/mo) package is suited for large organizations that collaborate extensively.
Apart from these usage-based pricing plans, the customers can also get ‘a la carte’ menu, with which they can choose additional features such as increased storage and bandwidth and higher levels of customer support and security. Sosius users will have the ability to create truly customized solutions to enhance their business online as the company continues to partner with innovative service providers in the future.
Sosius also offers a custom-priced Enterprise package which contains features such as extensive storage levels, phone and email support, onsite training and expert consulting for organizations with more sophisticated needs. There is complimentary enhanced storage and resources available for charitable and non-governmental organizations.
“Our vision is to build a strong community and work with our customers to build the best, most flexible online collaboration and business social networking solution on the market,” said Andrew Cameron-Webb, founder and CTO of Sosius. “Our new business model proves our commitment to putting the customer first while creating a foundation that will allow Sosius to achieve sustainable growth.”
