iBAHN has stated that it has finished installing its digital in-room IPTV (News - Alert) entertainment package, ETVi in the K West Hotel & Spa and The Royal Lancaster hotels in London. The K West installation will also use iBAHN’s HSIA (high-speed internet access) via the ETVi service in its guest rooms.

The company states that a total of 636 guest rooms, incorporating 416 at the Royal Lancaster and 220 at K-West, are now installed with iBAHN’s ETVi product. The suite installed by iBAHN consists of terms for digital video and administration portal so that the staff can do online tasks such as viewing real time and detailed revenue reporting, tailoring guest product bundling and making amendments to hotel services.

iBAHN is the provider of digital entertainment and Internet solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries. The company claims that their solutions increase productivity with secure high-speed Internet access options in more than 2,200 hotels, conference centres and meeting spaces in 28 countries.

ETVi is an advanced hotel guest entertainment package from iBAHN that combines digital TV, video-on-demand, digital radio and a music jukebox containing thousands of albums and music tracks.

Stephen Kyjak-Lane, General Manager at the Royal Lancaster, comments: “We selected iBAHN’s ETVi product over a short-list of four potential partners because it offered multiple new revenue streams and a contemporary look and feel with comprehensive facilities at a competitive price point.”

The ETVi has capabilities to provide home from home satisfaction for customers and enhanced picture and sound quality. It can deliver multiple revenues streams for both the hotels. The company claims that with intuitive navigation and multi-language capability, guests will have a greater choice of high-quality entertainment.

The TV can also be used by guests for e-mails and web-surfing, while hotels can use it as an electronic point-of-sale device to cross-sell services such as restaurant reservations, room service, spa or golf bookings.

iBAHN states that their services are being recognized by hotels all over the world and they can offer solutions that match separate requirements for each of the hotels. They can provide services previously unheard of ROI by leveraging the investment made on new HD TV sets and offering additional revenue opportunities through premium TV channels and related guest services.
